We are a group of NJ woman and men affected by divorce, past, present or future. We seek to support each other and get educated on legal, financial, and emotional issues related to divorce. We meet twice a month for support and education.
Meetup schedule: Every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month from 7:30-9pm.
Meeting place: 4 Waldron Avenue, Summit NJ (Room 209 in the Beacon Congregation Summit) – Note: we are not affiliated with the congregation and solely use their space.
Facilitators: Suzanne Wardrop and Wim Sweldens
Mission:
This group will provide members with a caring, thoughtful, and informative place to discuss issues they are facing in their divorce. Men or women who are impacted by divorce, past, present or future are welcome.
Divorce is hard and no one should face it alone. The group will provide a safe and confidential place to meet with others, share experiences, find support, and learn about the financial, legal, emotional, and logistical aspects of divorce.
Group meetings are 90 minutes and will consist of a two equal parts. In the first part we share our personal stories and perspectives. We also provide and seek support. In the second part we have an information topic. On occasion we invite divorce professionals such as lawyers, judges, or counselors, to share with the group.
